The content of general education in the vocational schools and the secondary specialized educational institutions has been basically transferred from the general education school. Radical qualitative shifts in the equipment and technology of production, changes in the character of labor, the growing need for workers of broad profile who possess occupational mobility and the ability to adapt quickly, and the need to humanize and enhance the prestige of vocational education all require the creation of a new conception of general secondary education in the vocational school.
