Abstract
A general proof of Lassettre's theorem—the limit as K0n approaches zero of K0n times the exact scattering amplitude is equal to the same limit of K0n times the first Born amplitude including exchange where ℏK0n is the inelastic momentum transfer for excitation of the target system between the states 0 and n—is given.
