全科医学是以人为中心、以维护和促进健康为目标,向个人、家庭与社区提供连续、综合、便捷的基本卫生服务的新型医学学科.近40年来,全科医学在全球范围内取得了长远的发展,全科医师已经成为社区卫生服务和农村卫生服务的主力军.全科医疗服务与专科医疗间各司其职、协调发展,逐渐成为国际公认的初级卫生保健服务的理想模式.世界先进国家医师总数的60%到70%都是全科医师。
