Abstract

By measuring the momentum distributions of recoil ions in Ne (e, 2e) reaction, we showed the evidence of the strong projectile-target core interaction and confirmed the existence of a two-step collision mechanism, namely, the incident electron experiences an elastic scattering on the target core before or after the target ionization occurs.
