Abstract
.We have already carried out analysis of the unifiedscaling law for earthquakes (1) (hereafter, USLE) bothfor global [3] and several regional earthquake cata-logues [4]. In this paper, we present results of an anal-ysis and mapping of coefficients of the USLE in theBaikal region, one of the most seismoactive regions ofRussian Federation with relatively high populationdensity.METHODSWe used the later version of an algorithm for evalua-tion of coefficients of the USLE, which allows us to sta-bilize the estimates of the parameters. The algorithm ingeneral and the later modifications are scrutinized in [4].log
