Abstract

The morphology of shear traces is a form of rough surface. Its complexity determines that it needs to be described in a multi-scale way. Therefore, the multi scale fractal method is introduced in the study, and the calculation principle of the generalized fractal dimension is discussed. For reconstruction system phase space of a series of observation data, the correlation integral is obtained, and a q order correlation integral is defined. In this way, the method of calculating the generalized fractal dimension based on the correlation integral is obtained. The calculation method is compared with other methods to calculate the generalized fractal dimension. Because the two quantities of the delay factor and the embedding dimension are reasonably selected, the calculated values are better reflecting the dynamic characteristics of the system. The content of the study is to deal with the contour curve of the shear mark as a one-dimensional signal, and the fractal dimension of the contour curve of the shear mark surface is calculated by using the generalized fractal dimension based on the correlation integral. The sum of squares of generalized fractal dimension is used as characteristic parameter. The purpose of the study is to explore a new method to provide the basis for the feature extraction and recognition of contour curves.
