El autor explica la teoría del conocimiento de Nietzsche en una de sus obras tempranas: Uber Lüge und Warheit im aussermoralischen Sinne. El problema central es la pregunta por el origen del conocimiento y el mundo como lo encontramos. Después de esto, el autor lo compara brevemente con la visión de Foucault sobre el mismo tema.
