Abstract
ABSTRACT Male resellers in Nigeria make significantly higher trade margins than their female counterparts, especially in the Northern regions of the country. This is likely due to predefined gender roles and relationships that result in inequalities in market information, access to customers and access to suppliers. Our finding is based on an extensive survey of traders, covering the key grains markets of Nigeria.
