Abstract
This work seeks to understand the evolution and concepts of feminism to understand issues related to women's work from discussions based on the study of epistemology. With a view to studying the situation of women working on construction sites, gender epistemology and feminism were identified as a starting point. The study of texts by notable authors in the area forwards the concepts that are intertwined to establish the origin of women's struggles and the emergence of social movements that claim rights for women, not equality with men, but access to their rights, establishing a woman's own place.
