Abstract

Many studies have examined gender inequity in academic medicine; however, no comprehensive synthesis of the literature has been performed. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of gender differences in faculty rank among academic physicians. Secondary outcomes included publications, h-index, federal research funding, and salary.
