Abstract

I develop a conceptual framework based on a systematic and comprehensive literature review on gender differences in behavior and attitudes toward COVID-19. Building my argument by drawing on data collected from AMS, Benenden Health, CDC, GWI, Harvard Medical School, ICF, MQ, Rek et al. (2020), Statista, and UNC School of Medicine, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding perceived risk of infection, negative cognitive emotions, and sleep disturbances. The data for this research were gathered via an online survey questionnaire and were analyzed through structural equation modeling on a sample of 4,800 respondents.
