Abstract
Over the past several months, there has been a lot in the news about students from Generation Z (1997–2012) choosing to attend “trade” schools over more traditional colleges. Those of us who work in the trade schools don’t call them that. The Technical College System of Georgia is, I suppose, what others might call trade schools. The colleges in the system offer such programs as welding, automotive maintenance and repair, plumbing, construction, industrial systems maintenance, electrical lineman, aviation maintenance, among many others.
