Abstract

Waste is a basic problem of every enterprise, which leads to retardation of growth and development. In order to improve the efficiency of processes and increase the involvement of employees, it is necessary to skillfully identify all sources of waste, which is possible thanks to the technique belonging to the Lean Manufacturing concept – Gemba Walk. This technique gives the opportunity to understand and carry out a real assessment of the actions taken in the production process, as well as to build relationships with employees. The article includes an analysis of foreign and domestic literature on the subject. In order to illustrate the operation of the Gemba Walk technique, a qualitative study was conducted. In the context of the research gap, the author tried to answer the following research questions: 1. How should the Gemba Walk technique be implemented in a manufacturing company? 2. What are the benefits of introducing Gemba Walk to the enterprise? The main purpose of the study was to indicate the stages of implementation of the Gemba Walk technique in a production company and to draw conclusions about the benefits of its implementation.
