Abstract
Abstract Image-based technologies are increasingly being used successfully for process monitoring, for example in the field of harvesting technology or during slaughter for assessment of foot pad dermatitis in poultry. The principle is based on the planimetric detection of areas that are set in relation to each other. In this study, this procedure was used for the detection of plumage damage in laying hens.
