Abstract
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), one of the most important musicians in Western music history. J.S. Bach combined various music styles of Baroque in his work and created his own specific music style and language. Bach also composed numerous works during his lifetime, whether sacred music or secular music, and most of them are masterpieces. In this thesis, we discuss the work ”Partita in g Minor for Oboe Solo, BWV1013” with Bach’ s music style and features by the form of suite. There are four chapters in this thesis. Chapter one is an introduction which illustrates the motive, purpose, range and methods of the research, and it also mentions the content and purposes of the references used in this thesis. Chapter two includes Bach’s lifetime, music style and his methods of composition. Chapter three is based on the definition of the noun“suite”then expends to the origin and development of the“suite”. Chapter four is an analysis of the “Partita in g Minor for Oboe Solo, BWV1013” , including an introduction of background adapter, and an analysis of the structure, key-transposition and factors of themes in each dance with score examples at the same time, and the interpretation of this piece in chapter five which also mentions the difficult technique and gives suggestions with score examples. The last chapter will be the conclusion of this thesis.
