Abstract

This study aims to identify the leadership style of the head of the room on the performance of nurses in the inpatient room. The research method used is a literature review through electronic databases and websites: Scopus, ProQuest, Ebsco, Google Scholar, etc. There are eleven studies identified according to the inclusion criteria and explaining that a leader must have good adaptability, be able to read situations, carry out leadership functions, and have a positive impact on the organization he leads, and the leadership style adopted by a leader in achieving the goals of the organization he leads is a critical element. Democratic leadership is considered the most appropriate leadership style for supporting the performance of nurses in inpatient rooms. In conclusion, the leadership style ability of a head of room will be directly proportional to the success of nursing services.
