Abstract

Human body interacts with the environment in various ways among which breathing is an essential part for our body to function. Atmo- spheric gases that are inhaled during respiration have various physio- logical as well as cognitive effects. The biometrics of a person and the environmental variables can be measured using various sensors which can be used to understand the interaction between them. This work extends the study done previously in estimating and understanding the effects of particulate matter on physiological and cognitive re- sponses by now considering CO 2 . The biometric variables of a partic- ipant riding a bicycle are measured of which 329 variables have been considered while an electric vehicle following the participant measures the environmental CO 2 among other environmental variables. After the data have been collected, machine learning models are used to understand the interactions between the body and the environment.
