Abstract

We propose a gauge model of weak interactions which contains only left-handed currents of eight quarks and eight leptons. The model has two more mixing angles in addition to the Cabibbo angle and the mixing is symmetric with respect to both hadrons and leptons. The model is consistent with present data on the $\ensuremath{\psi}(3.1)$ and related particles, ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ colliding-beam experiments, and dimuon events in neutrino and antineutrino reactions. Further phenomenological consequences are discussed.
