Abstract

Extending the usual SU(2) ⊗ U(1) group of weak and electromagnetic interactions into a larger SU(2) ⊗ U(1) ⊗ U(1) group, it is shown that the extra freedom provided by the new generator allows a new neutral charm violating transition. Indeed apart from the two charged currents and the electromagnetic one there exist two neutral weak currents coupled to two distinct intermediate neutral bosons.
