Abstract

The Third International Workshop on Polarized Neutrons for Condensed Matter Investigations (PNCMI'2000) was hosted by the Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (PNPI RAS) in Gatchina, St. Petersburg in June 2000. The workshop in Gatchina demonstrated rising interest in the topic and gathered over 110 participants from all over the globe, but mostly from leading European neutron centers. The noticeable number of young scientists and newcomers gave everyone hope for the future development of the method, while the experience collected by decades and disseminated in the workshops was not lost.
