Abstract
Gastric ulcers leading to fistulous communication between the gastric lumen and the left ventricle are rare and almost always fatal.1-3 There have been several cases of benign peptic ulcers eroding into the left ventricle under diverse circumstances.1-3 We report the first case of a gastroventricular fistula through the distal pouch of the stomach, in a patient who underwent Roux-en-Y gastric bypass for morbid obesity several years before presentation.
