Abstract

Abstract Gastrointestinal duplication cysts are rare congenital anomalies that typically present with symptoms of abdominal obstruction. We present a 3-year-old female with recurrent episodes of emesis who was eventually diagnosed with a gastrointestinal, likely duodenal, duplication cyst. The diagnosis was delayed as providers initially attributed symptoms to more common diagnoses resulting in vomiting. Gastrointestinal duplication cysts should remain on the differential in a young child with symptoms of unexplained intestinal obstruction.
