Abstract
AbstractIntussusception rarely occurs among adult patients; however, gastroduodenal intussusception is the most infrequent form of intussusception in adults. Almost all these patients present with abdominal pain and vomiting with or without associated gastrointestinal bleed. But none of the patients reported in the literature have presented with gastrointestinal bleed alone. We report a case of gastroduodenal intussusception who presented with melena alone without abdominal pain and vomiting.
