Abstract

A 29-year-old woman taking no medication visited a clinic because of recent upper abdominal pain. Physical examination showed mild abdominal pain without muscular defense. Laboratory test results were unremarkable. Abdominal computed tomography revealed a 60-mm gastric tumor that was strangulating the pyloric ring, indicating ball valve syndrome. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed a polyp strangulating the pyloric ring and polyposis in the gastric antrum and body that was contiguous to the polyp, similar to the gastrointestinal series (Figures A–C).
