Abstract

The gas chromatographic separation of a mixture of ethyl, 2-chlorethyl, 2,2-didchloroethyl and 2,2,2-trichloroethyl esters of C 2C 20 n-alkanoic acids on low-polarity (SE-30) and polar (OV-351) quartz capillary columns with temperature programming was investigated. The retention data for all 76 individual components are given and their elution order on both columns is discussed, together with the effect of chlorine substitution.
