Abstract

The prototype hydrofoil vessel currently being designed and built for the Royal Canadian Navy employs gas turbine engines for propulsion and ancillary power. This paper describes the general arrangement and use of these engines in the hydrofoil ship and includes as background a brief description of the vessel.
