Abstract

Substitution of (ArNHN) group into benzotriazol-1-yl ketones led to ca. 10 3-fold increase in rate of gas-phase pyrolysis, and provided a novel synthetic route to benzimidazole and benzimidazo[1,2- b]cinnoline heterocycles.
