Abstract
Abstract A simple gas chromatographic method for the determination of the solvation number by an investigation of the extraction processes using MIBK as the solvent has been proposed. Gas chromatography was applied for the determination of the solvation number by extraction of the halometallic acids HFeCl4, HMoO2Cl3 in MIBK as well as by extraction of BiCl4− and SbCl4− as ion-associate complexes with long-chain quaternary ammonium salts in MIBK.
