Abstract
A review of the genetic algorithm (GA) optimization of slot arrays in rectangular waveguides using a method-of-moments (MoM) analysis engine is presented. Examples of design of waveguide power divider/combiner for distributed amplifier applications and linear and planar slot array antenna designs are discussed. An initial design using the circuit model is carried out prior to GA optimization. Rapid evaluation of the MoM analysis in the GA optimization is carried out.
