Abstract

The gamma radiations following the beta decay of 2.55 h 65Ni have been studied with NaI(Tl) and Ge(Li) detectors. A level scheme is presented with the energies and relative intensities of gamma transitions observed for 65Cu. The directional correlation measurements made, agree with spin 7 2 for the 1483 keV level and give spin 3 2 ( 5 2 ) for the 1625 keV level and spin 5 2 for the 1725 keV level. All these levels have negative parity according to the log ft values calculated from the gamma-ray intensities observed.
