Abstract

Gamma-ray angular correlations in the decay of 131Ba have been measured at high resolution using Ge(Li) detectors. Ambiguities from previous measurements have been resolved and several new cascades have been studied. The spin assignment of the 124 keV level of 131Cs was verified to be 1 2 . Multipole mixing ratios were deduced for several 131Cs γ-ray transitions.
