Gamma camera spatial resolution as measured by the bar phantom

Abstract

The study reported indicates that the bar phantom provides a useful way of measuring spatial resolution. The minimum resolvable bar width being linearly related to the FWHM (full width at half maximum height) of the line spread function. Care should, however, be taken to quote the value of the count density at which the measurements are made.
