Abstract

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a $ 60+ billion plan between China and Pakistan to build a network of highways, trains, and pipelines between these regions. It is a key project for China's One Belt, One Road Initiative (OBOR) project, also known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and New Silk Road. This is a 2,000-mile route from China, across Pakistan, to the newly built Gawadar port, located on the Arabian Sea in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan, connecting from Asia Minor to the Arabian Sea and the Channel of Hormuz. . Several energy and infrastructure development projects will boost economic growth on roads from north to south. This paper is an analysis of the implications of CEPEC projects on KPK.
