Abstract

After the presentation of the basic algebraic circuits in Chap. 4 and the finite field or Galois field GF(2 m ) in Chap. 5, this chapter is devoted specifically to the circuits related to the finite fields GF(p) and GF(p m ), being p prime, following the same structure of Chap. 5. The theoretical foundations related to the Galois fields, algebra of polynomials and, particularly so now interested, related to GF(p) and to GF(p m ) are summarized in Appendices A and B. Therefore, it is advisable to review these Appendices when necessary.
