Abstract
A solution to the two-dimensional transport equation describing the modulation of galactic cosmic rays (GCRs) in the heliosphere in the 11-year cycle is presented. A feature of the solution is that the diffusion coefficient which depends on the index of the power spectrum of heliospheric magnetic field fluctuations is chosen to be different inside sector zones and outside them. This allows us to consider the connection between the diffusion coefficient and the tilt angle of the heliospheric current sheet, and to improve the agreement between the observed and calculated values of GCR intensity.
