Gaining the views of service users in a specialist palliative day care setting

Abstract

Patient and public involvement in the assessment of palliative care services presents unique challenges. This article reports on the use of the nominal group technique within a specialist palliative care day setting to gain the views of service users. The availability of medical and supportive care was shown to be highly regarded, as were the benefits of social interaction that this service facilitates.
