Through the use of proper preparation, and proven strategies, this common resistance to change can be significantly reduced, if not eliminated. Overcoming this resistance to change is of primary importance when implementing a new idea. This paper presents the causes of resistance and the techniques to overcome them. This facilitates the acceptance of change necessary for improvement in quality.
