Abstract

This paper utilizes a quasi-conformal transformation optics (QCTO) method to develop a lens with appropriate material and synthetic refractive index distribution to exhibit phase correction at aperture of a conical horn antenna that enhancing the radiation properties, meliorating impedance bandwidth, lowering side-lobe levels, and higher gain in proportion to the original air-filled horn antennas. 3D simulation results in COMSOL™ are shown to support the design procedure.
