Abstract

The Meal Supporting Machine is required for disabled people to make their lives comfortable. In order to realize the safe and confidential machine, we set up three conditions. First, the machine has low degree of freedom to make a movement locus easy to forecast. Second, it is easy to operate. Third, it presents disabled people the feelings which have a meal by themselves. So this time, we developed the meal supporting machine which used video recognition technology. The machine carry a meal to users mouth with only they indicate a meal by the laser pointer ,and push a switch. I checked the accuracy of the machine to confirm it is enough to work as a meal supporting machine. According to the experimental results, its success rate was 60%. And, whenever it increased the number of times of test, accuracy fell. Next time, I'll try to reexamination of the selection of parts and systems of movement control to improve this meal supporting machine.
