G.15 A Study on Planning Ideas of Shanghai International Cruise Tourist Resort

Abstract

The cruise ship is an important world-class business card of Shanghai. "the Huangpu River and the Suzhou Creek" are the symbolic space and important development link of Shanghai, which is an important space for Shanghai to implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and a new round of overall planning. Shanghai has put forward the goal of building "the Huangpu River and the Suzhou Creek" into a world-class waterfront area with global influence. Baoshan riverside area is rich in carrier resources with a unique spatial landscape. We should dig deep into resource advantages and strengthen carrier promotion, so as to construct the riverside area into a charming and dynamic water tourism portal for Baoshan and achieve the goal of making Baoshan the main position for the science and innovation center of Shanghai. Shanghai International Cruise Tourist Resort, as the largest gathering area of passenger terminal connecting to the river and sea in Shanghai, has the core carrier which is able to carry out cruise tourism related to international cruises, Yangtze River Estuary, Huangpu River, and modern yacht and sailing sports. It has gathered an international cruise terminal, Baoyang Road Ferry Terminal, Wusong series terminal and Long Beach Terminal in the future, covering 1.5 million square meters of water that can be developed. It is qualified for developing short, medium, and long-distance water tourism routes with various themes. In particular, with the relocation of the terminal passenger transport function out of the Hongkou International Passenger Transport Center, the resort will become a water tourism portal in Shanghai and even the whole country.
