Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the psychosomatic state of the driver through subjective assessment and objective assessment at rest and driving on two condition roads (dry road and snowy road). The electret condenser microphone was used to measure driver's heart beat at rest and after driving. Driver's psychosomatic state was objectively evaluated in using the frequency analysis on the heart rate variability. To execute a psychology measurement after driving, driver's psychosomatic state was subjectively evaluated. Driver's objective rating and subjective evaluation were almost corresponding. The tendency where the change on the snowy road appeared remarkably from a dry road was shown in the comparison by two road surface condition.
