Abstract
Swirl-type micro-bubble generator has an advantage over others in that it can generate micro-bubble easily under low supplied pressure. In order to make the device generating micro-bubbles under low supplied pressure, swirl-type micro-bubble generator was investigated by changing swirl chamber diameter. Therefore the performance of swirl-type micro-bubble generator was evaluated by measuring the diameter of generated bubbles by the image measurement method. Moreover the swirl velocity and radial velocity distribution around exit of swirl-type micro-bubble generator was measured. The area in which swirl-type micro-bubble generator generated bubbles was observed by high speed camera. It was clarified that the diameter of bubbles generated by swirl-type micro-bubble generator became small, the swirl and the radial velocity increased with swirl chamber diameter.
