Abstract
Direct numerical simulation (DNS) for homogeneous shear turbulence in the system rotating along the streamwise direction by means of the remeshing pseudo-spectral method is fulfilled. The increase rate of the turbulence energy is suppressed and the anisotropy of the Reynolds stresses is strengthened due to the rotation effect. In the strong rotation case, the anisotropy of the velocity spectra is strong in the large and small wavenumber regions. The vortex structures become large and stand in a line by the streamwise rotation.
