Abstract

RATIONALE: CXCL12/CXCR4 signaling is important in tumor metastasis, but intracellular regulators of CXCR4 in cancer are poorly understood. G protein coupled receptor kinases (GRKs) desensitize and internalize chemokine receptors, and GRK subtype 3 serves as a negative regulator of CXCR4 signaling in WHIM syndrome. Consequently, we investigated whether modulation of GRK3 affected breast cancer metastasis.
