Abstract
This paper proposes a Fuzzy Synthesis Evaluation Procedure to evaluate urban road safety. AHP method is applied to construct bi-level evaluation system of urban road safety. And then, the weight of urban road safety evaluation index is determined by expert questionnaire approach. Finally, fuzzy synthesis evaluation model is developed. The level of urban road safety is determined by centesimal system on basis of giving the equal score to the element of judgment set. In addition, the computation of Liuzhou, a city in China, is carried out for judging the level of urban road safety. The presented fuzzy synthesis evaluation method is an easy and practical way to provide a procedure to evaluate levels of urban road safety in China. Keywords-urban road safety; AHP; fuzzy synthesis evaluation; Chinese cities
