Abstract
The paper is devoted to the problem of reconstruction of an incomplete pattern (image). The procedure of reconstruction is proposed to be realized with using of conventional sign. Such a sign contains missing information in generalized form estranged from the specifics of a certain pattern. The solution of this problem is supposed to be found with the utilization of the mechanism that formalizes some propositions of the Edelmen’s theory of neuronal group selection. The paper contains the fuzzy descriptions as for the propositions of the theory of selection so for the mechanism of reconstruction itself.
