Abstract

ABSTRACTA “flexible” model of mass transfer processes in the bioreactor is presented. This model reflects in higher way the influence of constructive and regime apparatus parameters on the optimization criteria. A basic model considered as the most acceptable is used. The optimization of constructive and regime bioreactor parameters is accomplish on the base of fuzzy sets theory. The transition “gas-liquid” is chosen as an optimization criterion. Control variables are gas flow rate, rotation speed and the following constructive bioreactors parameters: a slope angle of stirrer blades, a baffle width, a number of impellers, an eccentricity of stirrer towards its rotation axis, a bioreactor diameter, an impeller diameter and a liquid height. The results show that this approach can be applied with success for optimization of mass transfer processes in the bioreactors and can be used for solution of different optimization problems in the biotechnology and bioequpment.
