Abstract

Performance of the controller in adaptation mechanism of speed estimators designed on the basis of model reference adaptive system (MRAS) scheme, plays very vital role. In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is proposed for the adaptation mechanism of speed estimators to be used in induction motor drive. Performance of the proposed FLC is evaluated for two diverse topologies of MRAS speed estimators, namely stator current (SC) type and the rotor flux (RF) type. The drive performance is investigated with speed estimator for closed loop operation on various working conditions.
