Abstract
A fuzzy system for production planning in a multi-item manufacturing facility is discussed. The mathematical model of the fuzzy control of aggregate production planning is formulated and extended in such a way as to permit it to be applied to the multi-item case. This extension is discussed in terms of its application to operating production systems, its robustness, and the interaction between manufacturing centers.
