Abstract
AbstractCOVID-19 virus affects the respiratory system of the patient and can obstruct the breathing process and lead to the death of the patient. The development of ventilation systems was in primary concern in order to help the patients who suffered from COVID-19. In this paper, the electronic and software design of the mechanical ventilation system, its control algorithm is considered. The electronic design of the system is implemented on STM32 Arm. The breathing system is based on AmbuBag compressed by the actuator. The fuzzy logic control system is proposed for the control of AmbuBag pressure. The stages of development of mechanical, electronic and software designs of the ventilation system are presented. Simulation results are presented for the verification of the developed control system. The obtained results indicate the suitability of using the designed automatic mechanical ventilation system (AMVS) in the help of COVID-19 patients to be able to breathe.KeywordsMechanical ventilation systemCOVID-19Fuzzy controlBreathing
